How & Why She Died
Joan of Arc died at the very young age of 19 (1412-1431) on May 30, 1431. She was captured by the English, and was charged with heresy and improper dress because of the uniform she wore as an army commander. Joan was found guilty and was told she wouldn't be executed if she would admit to crimes, but she refused to because she was too courageous to lie, even if it were to save her own life. Joan of Arc was then burned at the stake. 20 years after she was executed, they found out that Joan was innocent of all the charges.
